If you have a car, it is no problem getting on the freeway and being at the MGM in 20 minutes.

The only part of staying at the South Point is the distance from the Strip. For penny pinchers, Steak and Shake offer a burger and fries for 3.99. The steak and eggs hit the spot after a long day. The Coronado Café has good food 24 hours a day and their midnight to 6 AM specials are very good for the price. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from although we never saw Don Vitos or the steakhouse ever open but we had some long days working so we probably missed that part. The casino was well lit and for most part 'sinus' friendly. From the front desk, there is a straight shot to the hotel elevators instead of making you dodge slot machines and gamblers. The hotel and casino are people friendly. There is even a coffee maker in the room. Everyone from the front desk to the room cleaning crew were very friendly and always open to greet us and chat. We found the parking garage to have plenty of spaces and if you go up to the 4th level or higher, there are always parking close to the elevators that go directly into the casino. It was the first time we had stayed this far out from the main part of the strip but found out that this is the best part to be in.
